Free tool · ES and NQ levels

ES and NQ key levels, mapped before the open.

Type the prior session’s high, low and close and the overnight high and low from your ES or NQ chart. You get one sorted level map with the prior-day pivots and each level’s distance from price. Every level on this page comes from numbers you enter: this page does not publish live ES or NQ prices.

10 levels, highest first, with the distance from 6,045.00.

The numbers filled in are an example, not today’s ES or NQ prices. Replace them with yours.

How it is computed

What each level is, and the arithmetic.

What it reads

Five prices you type: the prior session’s high, low and close, and the overnight high and low. A reference price is optional.

How it is computed

The pivots are the classic floor pivots of the prior session: P = (high + low + close) ÷ 3, R1 = 2P − low, S1 = 2P − high, R2 = P + range, S2 = P − range. Every level is rounded to the tick (0.25 on ES, MES, NQ and MNQ), sorted highest first, and given its distance = level − reference price.

Worked example (example numbers): a prior session of 6050 / 6000 / 6040 gives P = 6,030.00 and R1 = 6,060.00. With price at 6045, the overnight high 6058.25 is +13.25 points away, which on one ES contract is 13.25 × $50 = $662.50.

Why that matters

Seeing every reference price in one sorted list shows which ones sit close together and how much room there is between price and the next one, before you decide on a stop or a target.

What it does not tell you

Which level matters today, or whether price reacts at any of them. This is arithmetic on your numbers, not advice.

Questions

ES and NQ levels, answered.

What are the key levels for ES and NQ today?

The levels most futures traders mark before the open are the prior session high, low and close, the overnight (Globex) high and low, and pivots computed from the prior session. This page builds that map from the numbers you read off your own chart. It does not publish today’s prices.

Which session counts as the prior session?

Use either the regular trading hours session, 9:30 to 16:00 ET, or the full CME session from 18:00 ET to 17:00 ET the next day. The overnight high and low are the extremes from 18:00 ET to 9:30 ET. Use the same definition every day.

Why does the table show a distance?

It is the level minus the reference price you type, in index points. In the example, the overnight high 6058.25 is 13.25 points above a reference of 6045. On ES one point is $50 per contract, on MES $5, on NQ $20 and on MNQ $2.

Are these support and resistance?

They are reference prices, nothing more. Nothing on this page measures how price behaved at any of them.
