How the result is decided

A count of your answers, nothing more.

  • Described. Questions 1 to 5 score what you say you do, from 0 to 2: 2 is the form of the habit that turns an open gain into a loss or makes a loss bigger without a decision, 1 is the habit without that direct cost, 0 is the rule.
  • Counted. Questions 6 to 10 count how often it happened in your last ten trades or sessions, from 0 to 3: None is 0, One or two is 1, Three to five is 2, Six or more is 3. A count carries more because it is closer to what you did.
  • Score. Each leak’s score adds the two, from 0 to 5. The band word: 0 is Keep, 1 or 2 is Watch, 3 to 5 is Work on.
  • Pick. Your leak to work on first = the leak with the highest score.
  • Ties. A tie goes to the leak earlier in this fixed order: a stop that moves the wrong way, then sizing up after a loss, then entering before the reclaim holds, then no cut-off: green to red, then exits by feel instead of level to level. Stops and size come first because they set how much any one mistake can cost.
  • None. If every score is 0, the result says so. Nothing is scored on a curve and nothing is a probability. The plan’s settings never touch the score.

Worked example. Answers 1a, 2b, 3a, 4a, 5a. Counts 6b, 7b, 8a, 9a, 10a. Entering before the reclaim holds scores 3 of 5 (described 2, counted 1), sizing up after a loss scores 3 of 5 (2, 1). The scores tie, so the fixed order decides: sizing up after a loss comes first, and that is the result.

What the plan contains

A process plan, from your answers.

  • P0 · Scope and settings. How long the plan runs, how long you hold a trade, the unit your stop is in and whether you keep a log. They change words and example numbers, never your score.
  • P1 · What you told us. Your ten answers, each with a plain reading and its band.
  • P2 · Your leak to work on first. Its score, its rule and why it comes before the others.
  • P3 · What it costs. Arithmetic on R and on example numbers in your unit. None of it is a result.
  • P4 · The rule, in your words. One sentence you finish and keep where you trade.
  • P5 · Before, during, after. What to do at each moment of a trade.
  • P6 · The practice. A 14-day or 7-day table with a tick box for each day.
  • P7 · Count adherence, not money. A three-box scorecard per trade, read as a count, never a percentage.
  • P8 · Free tools that fit. The calculators and glossary entries for this leak.
  • P9 · The last day. Take the questions again and choose the next round.
  • P10 · A product of ours. One labelled paragraph with a link and no price.

Scoring and the plan need JavaScript. Without it, match your answers to the five leaks above: each one lists the answers that point at it.

What it does not tell you

A process check, not a verdict.

  • Not your results. It reads ten answers about how you trade. It never sees a trade, a balance or a fill.
  • Not a diagnosis. Answers describe what you believe you do and counts are what you remember. A trade log shows what you did. Check one against the other.
  • Not the only leak. It names one to work on first, on purpose: one change at a time is a change you can check.
  • Not advice. Educational, for any market you trade. It measures what you report, nothing else.
